en: The Pharos Painter is an Athenian black-figure painter active ca. 540-520 BCE. The name derives from vases with scenes of two women sharing a cloak (“pharos”). Frequently painting the lekythos, compositions consist of a central panel on the body of the vase. Findspots include Locri (south Italy), Rhodes, and the Athenian Kerameikos.
