en: The Pedieus Painter is an Athenian red-figure cup painter active in the late 6th c. BCE. The name derives from the inscription “Pedieus kalos” (“Pedieus is beautiful”) on several examples. Subjects include Amazons, horsemen, warriors, and women. Findspots are Thebes, Athens, Camiros (Rhodes), and sites in Etruria (Cerveteri, Tarquinia, Gravisca).
